Although some people claim better sound quality with this item, the best quality would be with no cable connectors at all. If you like to rearrange your setup a lot, this is definitely a time saver. This is a convenience item, not a sound quality bettering item.
I do wish they gave the option of being taken apart as the distance apart is not standard on AV- Receivers. These plugs are solidly constructed. Overall, they are very well built, look great and provide great sound.
